Can someone give me a ballpark for wedding flowers?

My fiance and I are crunching numbers for our wedding/reception. I would want a SIMPLE bouquet, not a big flower person for me and my 4 bridesmaids. Plus we would need boutiners (sp?) for then men. If we have at the venue I want (a mansion). They have a TON of floral and candles already set up for our ceremony and reception so we would only need the flowers mentioned above. If we have it at a hotel ballroom (ceremony and reception) I would think we would have to pay for some flower or greenery for the ceremony site and the centerpieces (about 15 tables) as well. Can someone give me a ballpark figure? I%26#039;m trying to convince my fiance that the extra we pay for the mansion we would save in floral. (They will set up ALL our stuff for us at the mansion, wo we would not a florist to come, we could just pick up the flowers at Sam%26#039;s)

Can someone give me a ballpark for wedding flowers?
(We stole ours from Wrigley Field)
Reply:Go to the Costco web site, they have great quality flowers and very reasonable.

Reply:Met Stadium, if it were still standing instead of the Mega Mall.
Reply:Depends on where you are located. Larger cities normally charge more that a local rural florist. I%26#039;m a very creative person and I am doing my own flowers for my 8-8-08 wedding. If you order from www.bigrose.com you can get 250 roses for $199.00 plus free FedEX delivery! Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful and happy life together.
Reply:are you doing silk or real flowers?

i was just going to say use sams for bulk flowers and diy them

or go to your local grocery stores floral dpt and crunch numbers with the staff.

bring pics of what you want.

use carnations and larger but more inexpensive flowers if possible. less roses more gerbera type thinking.

get a hand tied bouquet of gerberas, tulips and greenery for you, your bms can have the same style but just gerberas and greenery. guys boutinners can be just carnations with a sprig of babys breath and some greenery

if your ceremony site realllly doesn%26#039;t need flowers bcse it%26#039;s naturally pretty- skip it.

centerpieces... depending on what you want can be very inexpensive-

here are a few ideas of ones that shouldn%26#039;t cost much do to- and will keep your flower budget low

you can rent vases from a lot of florists... use calla lilies, gerbera or tulips for this look. add greenery if you want

again use tulips and gerberas, maybe a few carnations and lots of inexpensive greenery for this look.

any in season flowering branch can be used for this. just stick them in the top of the vase

oh don%26#039;t forget to post on craigslist or your local yahoo freecycle group that you are looking for xyz type vase or glassware for your centerpieces. many new brides are happy to unload their wedding left overs for free or cheap.
