Flowers,Make Up,Hair..?

Okay so im having mostly a vintage style wedding.

Not everything is extremely vintage..

But the girls dresses are clover green. http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_...

im trying to figure out

flowers for it. I want them not to be tons of money. I was thinking a light yellow? Some other colors as well. Also how should makeup be done. I am most likely doing it myself. I always make my eyes darker but i know for a wedding its different. Also hair ideas.. any websites? I hate tight back hair. I like more natural but stillbeautiful and stunning. Im having someone do my hair that is amazing.. but i want some ideas to give her..

ps. the wedding is in june so its springy

Flowers,Make Up,Hair..?
My first reaction to your question is: Daffodils!!! They%26#039;re delightfully springy and pretty and fragrant -- and retro! Daffodills and maybe some bluebells... you could wrap a ribbon up the stems and tie a bow so the ends hang down over the bridesmaids hands... could be really pretty!!!

Tulips would be a pretty alternative - and there are a lot of colors available. And both options should be very affordible in the spring!

For flowers I would go simple, daisy%26#039;s, tulips, roses or maybe lilies.
Reply:That is a beautiful dress! I%26#039;d go with a variety of spring, happy colors for the bouquet -

Reply:Pale yellow or pale pink flowers would look nice with the bridesmaid dresses.

For springy weddings flowers in your hair would be pretty.

Makeup, go for the natural look with soft earthy tones.

Good luck!
Reply:The dress is absolutely fabulous for the bridesmaids. The shoulder straps especially work for the busty, full figured maid who is worried about support. And, for the more flat chested maids, she does not have to worry about being able to hold the dress up. Yet, the dress provides for a view of the cleavage, just fabulous, especially for the maid looking for a mate at the wedding. Now, yellow flowers would go perfectly stupendous with this frock. Have you considered roses? or, for the bride on a budget, yellow daisies are just beautiful, especially for a spring wedding. For your hair, cut it chin length, to shoulder length, and have a body wave, and perhaps a few highlights, and then just wear it naturally. Very light and airy touch. Your makeup can have pastel shades, have your stylist recommend this, depending upon your features and coloring. But with your marvelous taste in gown%26#039;s I am sure you will look just fabulous. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Woooofff... Woooofff.
Reply:You should have a budget for all this by now. If you know how much you are willing to spend take a swatch of fabric from the dresses to several florists and ask for suggestions. They should have a book of floral designs in different price ranges. Take very good notes when you see something you like even if it is a little more expensive than you are planning on. A lot of times you can get the same feel with a less expensive flower combination.

For hair and makeup get out the magazines for brides and look for someone with your face shape and type of hair. Also look at the neckline of the dress because that will help you decide which style will look best. If you don%26#039;t want to spend the bucks for the magazines most large public libraries have the most popular ones for you to look at and you can scan the photos of what you like best to take to the salon. Take the photos in a couple weeks before the wedding along with your headpiece so your stylist can see what you are thinking about and make suggestions. She is the expert so use her knowledge.
Reply:Light pink, light yellow, and cream. Peonies are in bloom in June so they shouldn%26#039;t be too much, they are beautiful come in a lot of colors, and you don%26#039;t need too much to make a bouquet because they are large.

Actually I might be just saying that cause those are very similar to my wedding colors, but with a little bit of dark red. So maybe I shouldn%26#039;t give advice on that. haha.

You defiantly shouldn%26#039;t do darker eyes if you are going to a vintage style, very light makeup. Depends on what kind of time period you are going for, but if you can pull if off red lipstick was a very big favorite for the 20-40s.

This site has pictures along with descriptions of tons of old fashioned hairstyles (I really like the Mock-Twenties Bob):

EDIT: With the longer hair I think that the page boy would look fabulous on you!

I am sure you will be beautiful whatever you do. Good luck planning.
Reply:In regards to the hair I have a great website with tons of long hair styles

For the bridesmaids bouquets you can use carnations and daisies-they are fairly inexpensive flowers. You can try some light yellow gerbera daisies, with maybe a ring of purple carnations surrounding them. The rich purple color will go great with the dresses that you selected-which are beautiful

As far as make-up one great tip that I can give you is do not skimp on the blush...the way that you look in person is going to look a lot different than the way the pictures turn out. A lot of brides end up not using enough blush because they think it makes them look like clowns-but many of them are sorry when the pictures come back and they look pale and drawn out.

If you love to do your eyes dark and dramatic then you should definitely do that...just make sure that you wear a nude/neutral lip color. If you want to do a bright lip color, then make the eyes less dramatic-I personally like the dramatic eyes with neutral lips.

Good luck :)
